Avid readers of our blog know what is happening here when the holidays are fast approaching and Santa is waiting for biggest supply chain gig of the year: Time for the All Things Supply Chain Awards!
Before we get to the nominations and winners, I would like to say a big thank you to the readers of the blog again this year! In 2021, the blog has again seen a decent growth in readers with a 6 percent increase compared to last year and possibly this year we will also reach the mark of 200,000 readers for the first time.
Nobody would have expected this success when we uploaded our first post in October 2012. And I don’t know if you noticed, but next year, the blog will actually be 10 years old. And I am almost sure that we will break more records next year as well.
Aside from our great performance numbers of the ATSC blog, 2021, much like 2020, was a strange year, with challenges, developments and often personal hardships that we may not see again in this form anytime soon. It will certainly be exciting to watch what happens to supply chains once the pandemic ends. In any case, the probability is not so small that we will be able to observe this next year, at least an initial phase of normalization.
The All Things Supply Chain Awards – Highlights from 2021
The credo “Reading is voting” applies again this year, so we look at the numbers for each article in our annual awards. This year in three categories: Most read guest blogger, Most read new article and Best all-time performer. The ranking in the different categories is based on an index, which incorporates the absolute viewer numbers as well as the publishing date, in order to value the performance over time and thus also giving freshly published articles a fair chance of winning.

Her biggest hit, the ranking of the biggest container ships in 2021, surely based on the remarkable incident in the Suez canal, where the Evergolden held off traffic for quite some time. While being a very big ship, it is only number 10 on the list!
