I have noted in a couple articles in the past, our intentions to improve the layout of our ISCO Blog. In the end, it turned into a much bigger project, namely the rebranding and restructuring of the entire blog. Starting later this week, the ISCO Blog will no longer be online, and all the content will be found under a new name: All Things Supply Chain. The new logo is pictured above.
The site is not quite finished, but the next article we publish will be under a new domain. We will be starting the switch on our social media channels and the site will be indexed on Google later this week.
Here are a few bits of important information for you, our readers:
- If you have cited us in the past, those links will automatically be forwarded to the correct article under the new domain. All ISCO articles will be redirected to the corresponding version under the new domain.
- Our current email subscribers will also be migrated to the new domain. There should be no disruption to your subscription. Instead of receiving emails from ISCO Blog, you will now receive them from All Things Supply Chain.
- The same authors will be contributing content, alongside a growing roster of guest contributors.
- We plan on expanding our content horizon. We want to provide more content from diverse areas of supply chain management, including financial supply chain and personnel planning articles. These will all be nicely sorted into various categories/sections within the blog.
- Our “latest articles” page provides you with a similar layout to the current ISCO Blog. Bookmark this page if you want to browse articles in the same way as before.
In essence, it is the same blog, but different.
Our new homepage has a magazine-style layout with several featured sections/categories. After scrolling past the featured sections, the three latest original articles are displayed.
One new feature at the individual post level provides you with the opportunity to “like” a particular article directly on the site. Overall, we updated our social sharing function through the use of a plugin. If you find what you read particularly helpful, you simply click on the heart at the end of the article or share it with your various networks. This will help us determine which articles are displayed in the popular posts section at the top of the homepage:
We are also excited about our new related content feature that draws your attention to additional articles that may be helpful to you: a basic feature that was not included in our old layout:
Be sure to take the time to explore the new site later this week (You will automatically be taken to the new domain when it is finished by using the old domain or your bookmarks)! We hope you enjoy the new layout. Please don’t hesitate to send your feedback directly to me: david.weaver@inform-software.com
