The topic of social media within the supply chain and logistics industry is something I enjoy writing about. In the past, I talked about the importance of creating a holistic social media strategy across all company functions and, back in 2013, I addressed 3 ways the various social platforms are impacting supply chain processes. Since then, discussion on the topic has really heated up.
Social media does not appear to be going away any time soon, and will likely continue to advance, as seen in the most recent movement toward ephemeral media. The faster the costs, benefits and chances are understood, the sooner the various tools can be used to improve logistics and supply chain processes – or maybe not? That is why I want to hear from you. What purpose does social media serve within the logistics industry? Where do you see potential?
I would appreciate your input on this topic. I hope to generate enough feedback to be able to present the results in a future blog post. Thanks in advance for participating!:
